FAQ
Is there a parking place?
In Saas-Almagell, finding a parking space can sometimes be quite difficult. A space has been reserved for our guests in the car park marked ‘Private’, 200 metres from the cottage. The car park is a 250-metre drive from the ‘Volg’ shop towards Saas Grund, on the right-hand side (next to the waterfall).
How do I unload my luggage if there’s no access to the house?
The cottage is situated in a car-free zone. The easiest way to unload your luggage and equipment is to park in the blue parking spaces next to the ‘Volg’ grocery shop. The cottage is 150 metres from the shop, and there is a trolley in front of the cottage which you can use to transport your luggage.
How do we get into the flat?
There is a key box outside the entrance, and we provide our guests with the code for it before they arrive. This means they can arrive at any time after the check-in time and gain access to the flat themselves.
Is the whole house available to guests?
The house consists of two flats. The one downstairs is rented out to guests, whilst upstairs is our flat, which we visit from time to time; we do not live there permanently. If our guests are keen to have the place to themselves during their stay, please let us know before booking.
What sort of coffee machine is there in the flat?
We have a Nespresso machine for standard capsules available for our guests’ use.
When will I receive the details regarding my arrival?
We send our guests the Saastal cards and all the details regarding check-in, parking, etc. a day or two before their arrival.
How do we pay the tourist tax?
A few days before your arrival, we will ask you to provide the details required to issue your Saastal cards and to pay the tourist tax. This fee must be paid separately, in addition to the booking fee. You can pay by bank transfer via Revolut or TWINT, or leave cash on the kitchen table.
You can find information about the Saastal cards and the benefits they offer on the Saas-Fee website.
